Richard Cook is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with specialization in Piano Performance.  Along with his own composing and performing endeavors, Richard enjoys a successful piano instruction business, wherein he teaches piano to over 50 students of all ages, privately in their homes.  Unique to his individualized-instructional approach, Richard personally arranges music of all genres (e.g., classical, pop, rock, jazz, etc.) for his students, adapting their own musical choices to their present abilities, allowing for enough challenge and difficulty to encourage student learning and growth, and, most importantly, maximize enjoyment.  Regardless of where students’ abilities lie when starting piano, all students from day one of instruction will learn how to play pieces--favorite pieces that they’ve chosen.  No more waiting through months and months of tedious beginner pieces; learn to play piano today with pieces that you listen to and enjoy.
